Ingredients:

2 Tbs Olive oil

2 Tbs All-purpose flour

4 Tbs Chili powder

1/2tsp Garlic powder

1/2tsp Salt

1/4tsp Ground cumin

1/4tsp Mexican oregano

1 Tbs Onion flakes

2 cups Caldo de tomate, (or beef bullion for Tex-mex)

Mix all seasonings in advance; set aside. Heat oil in saucepan over med-high heat. When hot, gradually whisk in flour until it makes an even slurry. Add seasoning mix and stir thoroughly for about 1 min until spices become fragrant. Slowly whisk in caldo de tomate until thoroughly blended. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes until slightly thickened. Set aside.
